hungercity_hellhoundTrigger warnings for torture and brainwashing
Damien is an OC from the David Bowie Diamond Dogs material with filler from 1984 and some other referenced materials in the music.
Bowie's Description of the Diamond dogs:
"They were all little Johnny Rottens and Sid Viciouses really. And, in my mind there was no means of transport.. So there were these gangs of squeaking, roller-skating, vicious hoods with Bowie knives and furs on and they were all skinny because they hadn't eaten enough, and they all had funny colored- hair. In a way, it was a precursor to the punk thing."
Damien lives in a post apocalyptic New York City loosely based in the book 1984.

Personality: Watchful and often quiet at first glance, Damien is caring and protective toward those around him. He is soft spoke though laughs loudly when people get him to smile. He can be mischievous among friends and likes playing sports. Because of his duties and his past, Damien is always on and rarely relaxes anywhere. On rare occasions he can be flirtatious and open, but he needs to feel very secure and that rarely happens.
History: Damien was born to a middle class Ministry City in the middle region of the East Coast of the US. His parents were choosen purposefully by the Ministry. From an early age he was brought up to be in the Ministry Police, heavily brainwashed and ready to serve. Damien made it through his training and into the Jr corps. However, three years into his leadership role he was to be married off and it was discovered he wasn't interested in women or procreation. The discovery that he was gay or gay leaning meant instant stripping of rank and taken for reprogramming. He managed to escape twice though he didn't make it far. Reprogramming turned to torture. The torture and reprogramming broke his brainwashing and freed him from the grasp of ministry teachings.
Damien was found unconscious during a Diamond Dogs raid to liberate some of their own that had been captured by the Ministry. At first, Damien was ostracized due to his past in the ministry's military. It was only when he was found to be sniping off Ministry patrols that tried to enter Hunger City that Jack began to trust Damien. He quickly became a valuable resource and a trusted friend over the next year. Damien was at Jack's side when he rescued Hannah from her second reprogramming.
Damien has since become the leader of the Hunger City militia and guards, known as Hellhounds.
His horse, Cyanide.
